OUR STORY

Shred Like a Girl started as a twinkle in Shawnee's eye in early 2020.
One dodgy secondhand XC bike, a few Sydney trails, and a mounting obsession with wheels later - it was obvious this wasn't a phase. Mountain biking had her in a chokehold.
But along with the joy came a frustration that kept getting louder: where was the kit for women? Why did finding well-fitting MTB clothing feel like an extreme sport in itself? And how were women supposed to feel like they belonged on trails if the industry wasn't even bothering to dress them properly?
Covid hit. The world slowed down. And that quiet frustration turned into an action plan. In 2021, Shred Like a Girl was born - built to fix the problem from the inside.
In October 2024, after years of growth and a move to Scotland (long story, great trails), Shred Like a Girl became Unbound Collective. Same mission. Same fire. Same love of muddy bikes. Just a bigger vision - and a cheeky raccoon.
We make mountain bike clothing that actually fits, in sizes XS to 3XL. We run guided rides and skills sessions. We build community. We champion inclusivity - not as a buzzword, but as the actual point. Women-focused at our core, but the trails are for everyone.
We've got big plans for where this goes next. But for now, we're just out here trying to get more people on bikes.
Hope to see you on the trails.
